Separation Walls
listing

An idea that was born in 2001 out of a trip I made with Frank Neisse in Western Sahara where we saw that unknown 2,000-kilometer sand wall dividing into two a contested territory.

An idea that became reality in 2005, when we did our first travel to take pictures of the border-wall between the United States and Mexico.

An idea that became a book in December 2007 after more than two years of travels and writing on this new phenomena of separation walls and fences.

An idea that led to many exhibitions around the world and numerous conferences.

There are currently more walls than before the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 ! Their multiplication led us to publish in 2015 a second edition of the book, and many more exhibitions and conferences.
